Salary: Teaching Point Scale 1 – 9 Contract Type: Permanent, Term Time Only Working Hours: Part-time (0.47 FTE) from £30,759.00 up to £48,513.00 per annum (pro -rated for part time)
About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Teacher of Maths (GCSE) to join our friendly team at The Henley College.
The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of (Edexcel) GCSE Maths (Foundation Tier), supporting learners to make strong progress through high-quality teaching, assessment and pastoral support.
Main Responsibilities
• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging GCSE Maths lessons in line with curriculum and awarding body requirements.
• Teach students according to their educational needs, including setting, marking and assessing work carried out in college and elsewhere.
• Assess, record and report on student progress, achievement and attainment.
• Participate in internal moderation and the moderation of assessed work
• Promote the general progress and well-being of individual students and groups.
• Provide guidance and advice to students on educational, social and progression matters.
• Maintain accurate records and reports on student performance and support needs.
• Communicate and co-operate effectively with parents, colleagues and external bodies.
• Participate in meetings relevant to teaching, assessment and pastoral responsibilities.
• Contribute to College marketing activities where appropriate.
• Adhere to all College policies, procedures and quality standards.
About You
Essential:
• Relevant teaching degree
• Mathematical background
• Teaching qualification (or working towards a full teaching qualification)
• Commitment to active, student-centred learning
• Commitment to keeping up to date with educational developments
• Energy, enthusiasm and the ability to communicate effectively with students and staff
• Well-developed organisational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a committed team of teachers and support staff
Desirable:
• Experience of providing tutorial or pastoral support to students
