Football Sports Therapist
Location: Henley-on-Thames
Salary: £24.75 per hour
Contract Type: Part-Time (6 hours per week), Fixed-Term
About the Role
The Henley College is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Football Sports Therapist to join our friendly and ambitious Sports Department. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the College’s football programme, working closely with the Head Coach and Programme Manager to provide expert injury management and rehabilitation support for our student athletes.
As Football Sports Therapist, you will be responsible for supporting players at training sessions and fixtures, both home and away, providing pitch-side assessment, acute injury care, and rehabilitation programmes. You will help students safely return to optimal performance, ensuring they receive high-quality therapeutic support throughout their football journey.
The role requires flexibility, a proactive approach, and a commitment to supporting the health, wellbeing, and sporting success of our students. National travel to fixtures will be required.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a motivated and passionate Sports Therapist or Physiotherapist who has experience working within a sporting environment and a strong understanding of football-related injuries. The ideal candidate will have:
• A Sports Therapy or Physiotherapy qualification
• Experience diagnosing, treating, and managing sports injuries, particularly those common in football, including soft tissue injuries, concussions, and joint sprains
• Knowledge of acute injury care, pitch-side assessment, and emergency procedures
• The ability to design, implement, and evaluate rehabilitation programmes
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and stakeholders
• The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• A flexible and adaptable approach to working hours, including travel to fixtures
• A commitment to continuous professional development and learning
