Location: Henley on Thames
Salary: Teachers Pay Scale £30,759.00 – £48,513.00 per annum (pro rata)
Contract Type: Part Time (0.5 FTE), Permanent, Term Time Only
About the Role
The Henley College is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Teacher of Accountancy to join our friendly and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity to teach both Accountancy and Business across Level 2 and Level 3 (A Level and BTEC), helping students to develop knowledge, skills, and confidence in a dynamic learning environment.
As a Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering engaging lessons, supporting student progress, and contributing to a high-quality teaching and learning experience. You will plan and deliver innovative lessons, assess student performance, and support learners to achieve their full potential while promoting a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Working closely with the Curriculum Leader and wider team, you will contribute to curriculum development, quality assurance, and continuous improvement, ensuring that provision meets the needs of learners and aligns with awarding body requirements.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a passionate and committed teacher with a strong subject background in Accountancy. The ideal candidate will have:
• A degree in Accountancy or a related subject
• A recognised teaching qualification (or working towards one)
• Relevant accountancy experience
• Experience of planning and delivering engaging lessons
• Experience of assessing, tracking, and reporting on student progress
• Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies
• Experience of adapting teaching to meet diverse learner needs
• Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
• The ability to motivate and engage young people
• A collaborative and proactive approach to teamwork
• A commitment to safeguarding, equality, and inclusion
