Events & Marketing Officer

About the Role

The The Henley College is seeking a creative and motivated Events & Marketing Officer to join our Marketing, Communications and Engagement team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in promoting the College to prospective students, parents, schools, alumni and the wider community.

Working as part of a dynamic marketing team, you will be responsible for planning and delivering a range of College events, creating engaging marketing communications, and supporting the College's digital presence. From producing social media content and updating the website to coordinating recruitment events, building relationships with schools and community partners, and developing alumni activities, this is a varied and hands-on role where no two days are the same.

This role is ideal for a highly organised and creative individual who is passionate about events, marketing and community engagement, and enjoys working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone with creativity, strong organisational skills and excellent communication abilities. The successful candidate will have:

Essential

Level 3 qualification or equivalent

GCSE English and Maths

Full UK Driving Licence

Experience creating and updating content for social media platforms

Experience producing high-quality written content for online and/or print audiences

Experience using digital tools to create engaging content

Knowledge of marketing principles and audience engagement

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong organisational and time management skills

High attention to detail

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Creative thinking and the ability to generate new ideas

Enthusiasm for engaging with students, staff and external stakeholders

Desirable

Degree in Marketing, Communications, Media or a related subject

Training or certification in digital marketing, social media management or graphic design

Experience within a marketing role, ideally in an educational setting

Experience with website content management systems

Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and InDesign

Experience in photography, videography or content editing

Experience of alumni engagement

Key Information

Location: Henley-on-Thames

 Salary: £27,733 per annum

 Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent

 Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5.00pm, Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm, with a one-hour unpaid lunch break.

The successful candidate will occasionally be required to work outside normal working hours to support College events and activities.
